Celebrating Cinema

Bangla cinema has celebrated its centenary year and its rich legacy is carried forward with a new vision and new ideas by the new-age actors, directors and behind the camera team . Once Bangla literature had been the spine for the stories it replicated on celluloid but it's not so always anymore. Changes in politics, in topography, in relatable issues were retold on the silver screen that not only put Bengal in the world map of cinema but also made the viewers much wiser. No matter how far cinema goes, we cannot afford to lose sight of its beginnings. The power of cinema draws on that collective history even though every viewer takes home a different meaning when exposed to the same art form.

We bring you the third edition of Telangana Bengali Film Festival and are excited that we can bring to the huge Bengali diaspora living in Hyderabad and beyond. We bring you a bouquet of award-winning and much-lauded films  during the three-day festival and a chance to interact with their top stars during our interactive sessions. We will have seasoned as well as young faces from our very own Tollywood gracing the festival.

If you are a film buff and want to be one of the first to watch a premiere start counting your days as the greatest extravaganza of the year The Telangana Bengali Film Festival, Aayna 2019 presented by Hyderabad Bangalee Samity, in association with Utsab Cultural Association and Moving Images, the filmlovers and supported by Uttarayan  club, is back with an array of bengali films and a host of stars from December 6-8.
